Cross Border & Local Transport
BAC Logistics offers both South African local and SADC regional cross-border transport. General cargo is our specialisation, but any differentiating needs can be easily catered to with the wide range of vehicles available in our fleet. We have moved many heavy, abnormal loads (project loads) successfully and pride ourselves on the achievement to service Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed companies. Our fleet of vehicles consists of 1 Ton, 4 Ton, 5 Ton, 8 Ton and 12 Ton Trucks including tautliner super links and flat deck super links. We also offer Hazmat or Hazchem cargo movement with 1 - 34 ton super links.
Our main service solution is based on load proficiency and cost efficiency. We effectively plan your transport, taking vehicle size and type, commodity, and tonnage into consideration. Our vehicles are monitored using Mix Telematics, which ensures we are not only able to monitor our vehicles and route them, but we are also able to use advanced “Sat Nav technology” to plan the shortest distance, evaluate risk along route and programme positional automated email updates, among many other benefits.
Our service includes the supply of tracking details on every load, with a minimum of two updates per day, but we can offer customisable tracking solutions tailored to your needs with 24/7 tracking solutions available. Furthermore, our onboard cameras safeguard the driver, vehicle, and your cargo.
We also assist with cargo insurance, including optional insurance on vehicle theft, hijacking or a vehicle accident
We offer Customs clearing at borders as an additional service to our cross-border transport solution as well as warehousing facilities in Botswana (Lobatse), Zambia (Lusaka), and Zimbabwe (Harare and Bulawayo).
